Last Fall 2017 GEP Meeting

11/29/2017

Picture

Folks, it's been a fantastic semester and one of the most productive in GEP's recent history. Thanks to your efforts, we've been able to fund and produce four short films through the pitch program, a documentary through the content creation program, an equipment rental program, and the most expansive network of student filmmakers this campus has ever seen. Before the semester comes to a close, we've got a few more things lined up for y'all.

Today's Meeting
Wednesday, November 29
3pm, Los Angeles Room, University Student Union 3rd Floor

This is going to be an informal meeting to talk about plans for next year or share about projects we're working on. Let's hang out and detox before finals week.

Golden Eagle Productions Fall Semester Screening
Friday, December 8
7:30pm, USU Theater, University Student Union

I hope you are all looking forward to our end of the year screening! Remember, this is open invite, so feel free to bring friends and family. Additionally, if you worked on something this semester that you would like to screen, we can accommodate that. Send an email to me directly (bhefner@cox.net) and we can arrange this.

Golden Eagle Productions Fall Wrap Party
There's gonna be a party to end the fall semester after the screening on that same Friday night. More details will be coming soon once they're finalized!

Wednesday, October 18

3pm, Alhambra Room, 3rd Floor of the University Student Union
Special Presentation: Dailies & BTS from Midnight Turkeys and Light

This Wednesday's Meeting
GEP, this Wednesday is going to be our biggest meeting yet. We'll be showing dailies and BTS from two of our funded productions, along with crew anecdotes and testimony. Check out the details:

We had two productions shoot over the weekend and I heard they both went extremely well. Representatives from both crews will be presenting shots from the productions, so this is a great opportunity to see what your fellow club members have been up to (and what they're capable of). We will also be giving away more Emmy's DVDs as well!
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Thursday's Fundraiser!
There's another fundraiser this Thursday which means another opportunity to earn a GEP t-shirt.
Porto's Bakery Fundraiser
Thursday, October 19
9am-5pm, In front of King Hall

These fundraisers help support both our pitch and equipment rental programs, so please donate some of your time to help support the club if you can. Remember, volunteering for a minimum of one hour is the only way to get an exclusive GEP t-shirt (which will be arriving in November).

There's a lot of stuff going on right now, guys. Take a deep breath. We'll get through it together.
We talked about updates regarding the ongoing productions, give away some more prizes, and talk about filmmaking in general. It should be pretty casual and relaxed - a nice respite from your midterms.

Fundraiser Report!
Last week's fundraiser was fantastic! We sold out of everything by 3pm. Big thanks to everyone showed up, especially Deanna and Yuri, you guys earned GEP t-shirts! (If you came to the fundraiser and I missed your name, please email me back.)

Next Fundraiser: Thursday, October 19th
Another fundraiser is taking place next week. All of the money we raise from these fundraisers goes directly into our pitch program and equipment purchases. (Remember, we have an equipment rental program if you ever need equipment!)

The fundraisers, as usual, will take place from 9am to 5pm in front of King Hall. If you show up and help out for at least an hour, we'll give you a free GEP t-shirt (which are coming in November)! This is the only way to get GEP t-shirts, so if you want one, please send an email back to sign up!
